Originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Lydia was born in Singapore, graduated magna cum laude in Communications at California State University of Sacramento and moved to Atlanta in 1996.

Having been in Human Resources filed for over 20 years, Lydia took early retirement to teach piano and to raise her son who is now in college.

Lydia is married to Jerry Quan, a police officer who is also active in the AAPI Community.
